Work-Based Learning Awards

Sped

Last week, students in Career Focus and Specially Designed Instruction high school classes and Secondary Transition programs, like STEP, IMAGES and Project Search, were recognized for their achievements at an awards ceremony at Spokane Community College.

These programs are for students with disabilities who learn job skills through internships in their high school or the community. Businesses and organizations like Ace Hardware, De Leon Foods, Goodwill Industries, Gold Seal Plumbing, Pizza Rita, My Fresh Basket, Spokane Indians baseball club, Providence Sacred Heart and Holy Family, and many, many more, open their doors for these students to learn valuable job skills.

Congratulations to all the students!
