Many citizens noticed a large police presence in Northeast Spokane which then moved North into neighboring jurisdictions. On 05-27-22 at approximately 2:30PM, SPD responded to a domestic violence incident. Initially the suspect’s location was unknown. Children were in the company of the suspect, and information indicated the kids were in imminent danger of harm. Law enforcement immediately began attempting to ascertain the location of the suspect and kids.

As the incident evolved, data suggested the suspect and children could be in Northern Washington/Idaho. The suspect was subsequently detained without incident in Northern Idaho. The children are safe. The investigation is on-going, and no further information is available for public release at this point.

SPD would like to thank the numerous law enforcement partners that helped bring this incident to a safe conclusion.
