He wrote: “I, too, am disappointed in UK PM Starmer. The ‘special relationship’ between the US & UK is based on a shared cultural affinity and mutual appreciation of each others ability to project military force around the globe in the cause of freedom. Later that day, he highlighted an article from The Spokesman-Review featuring himself and Ambassador Ryan Crocker discussing Iran’s history of targeting Americans and lessons from past conflicts. Baumgartner has previously served as an advisor during the Iraq Surge alongside Ambassador Crocker. The “special relationship” referenced in his comments refers to decades-long cooperation between the United States and United Kingdom across diplomatic and military spheres.
