Congressman Michael Baumgartner shared updates on his recent activities and political views in a series of posts made between February 21 and February 22, 2026. The posts included commentary on military recruitment access in schools, U.S. foreign policy toward Venezuela, and his participation in the Munich Security Conference.

On February 21, Baumgartner commented on a meeting with military recruiters, expressing concern over limited access to high school students. He wrote, “This week I had a great meeting with area military recruiters! I was disappointed to learn that some area HS schools make it difficult for recruiters to talk to students. What’s your view, do you think HS students should be able to easily learn about military careers? https://t.co/88St8cxqq1”.

Later that day, Baumgartner praised then-President Trump and Secretary Rubio for their administration’s policy regarding Venezuela. He stated, “Every American should be applauding President Trump and Sec Rubio for enacting a policy that is freeing Venezuela from the grip of Communist Cuban “advisors.” Another significant foreign policy win for this administration. (And more to come). https://t.co/7u2FxKA9QI”.

On February 22, Baumgartner referenced media coverage of his participation at an international security forum during ongoing global crises: “Spokesman: Baumgartner reflects on being sole House Republican at Munich Security Conference amid crises in Iran, Ukraine and beyond https://t.co/exLEOGE0y6 https://t.co/v1I1DDTOFP”.

Baumgartner has served as a U.S. Congressman and is known for his involvement in both domestic educational issues and foreign policy discussions.
