Mayor Woodward to Host Telephone Town Hall

The town hall will begin at 6 pm. The conversation will be broadcast live on City Cable 5 and streamed online at My.SpokaneCity.org. Anyone interested

in participating can call 877-353-4701 or sign up online by 3 pm Tuesday to receive a phone call to join the meeting. Phone calls will be placed to more

than 20,000 households inviting people to join.

“Public safety is always a topic of conversation when I visit neighborhoods and businesses,” Woodward said. “We continue to talk with the community to

hear their thoughts and ideas even as we are executing a plan that expands our capacity to clean, better connects services to needs, advocates for the

tools Spokane needs to be successful, activates our public spaces, places additional patrol officers in neighborhoods, and returns vibrant activity to the

places we play and gather.”

Woodward will release a budget proposal on Tuesday that invests in public safety, people, and prioritizes the health and safety of the community. The

City Council will host budget hearings next month and approve a budget by the end of the year.

The telephone town hall conversation will be moderated. Woodward and members of her Cabinet will answer as many questions as possible during the

hour-long discussion.
