On Saturday, January 20, former Ellensburg High School standout, Steele Venters’ current college team, the Gonzaga Bulldogs, won 105-63 in their NCAA D1 game against the San Diego Toreros.
The game took place in San Diego, California. This was the second matchup against the San Diego Toreros this season.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, January 25 at 6 p.m. in Spokane, Washington.
Gonzaga Track wrapped up its regular season with strong performances across two meets held in San Francisco and Portland. Several athletes set new personal or program records as they look ahead to potential selection for NCAA postseason competition.
Luana Avelar joins Gonzaga women’s tennis as a graduate transfer after playing at Colorado State University. Head coach Natalie Pluskota-Hamberg praised her work ethic and competitive spirit. Avelar brings experience from conference play and international junior tournaments.
Gonzaga women’s rowing team advanced several boats to Saturday’s finals after strong finishes at Lake Natoma during the West Coast Conference Championships. The Bulldogs secured top-two placements across all preliminary heats.
