College tuition fees rose 4.1% in Spokane County in the 2022-23 school year, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.
Spokane, Washington – On September 4, 2024, a federal grand jury for the Eastern District of Washington returned an indictment charging Reynaldo Valdez Garza Jr., age 52, of Othello, Washington, with five counts of odometer tampering. Garza made his first appearance in Federal Court on September 9, 2024.

Waldref, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, announced that Gerald Alan Nott, age 63, of Richland, Washington, was sentenced after pleading guilty to one count of Receipt of Child Pornography. United States District Judge Mary K. Dimke imposed a sentence of 180 months (15 years) imprisonment to be followed by a lifetime term of supervised release.
